Role Overview
​
We are seeking a hardworking Yard Operative and Saw Operator Support to join our team. This is a hands-on, shared role combining yard responsibilities with active involvement in supporting saw operations. The successful candidate will work as part of the yard and production team, helping to maintain a clean and organised yard while assisting with the efficient and safe processing of materials.

Key Responsibilities
​

Maintain and clean the yard, including removing debris and litter, and carrying out general landscaping duties.

Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles, ensuring correct handling and safe storage.

Assist with inventory management, ensuring materials are stored appropriately and are easily accessible.

Actively support saw operations, including sawing and stacking timber and assisting with the preparation of cut materials.

Perform routine maintenance tasks as required.

Follow all health and safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and reporting hazards or incidents.

Ensure all tasks are completed in line with company safety and quality standards.

Experience
​
-
Previous experience as a yard operative, saw operator support, or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
​​

Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks and lift heavy items safely.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.

We are seeking a proactive and organised Administrator to join our team in a varied and dynamic role supporting day-to-day office operations. This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business by coordinating resources, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support across departments.
​
In addition to core administrative duties, the role will occasionally provide cover within the sales office during holidays or staff absences. Full training will be provided for sales support responsibilities.
​
Key Responsibilities
​

Accurate data entry onto our timber inventory system

Managing and ordering office supplies, including conducting stock takes of selected products outdoors

Maintaining and updating filing systems and company records
-
Supporting Health & Safety administration and compliance documentation
-
Assisting with marketing administration, including gathering information and updating website pages and product listings
-
Providing sales office cover when required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative software

Experience with Sage and Excel is desirable but not essential.
